Two men wounded in camp melee

The brother of one of two male victims is accused of shooting them with a Remington 12-gauge rifle, leaving 10 shots in the stomach of one victim and a single shot in the other’s head.
According to police, one of the men hopped on his snowmobile and drove 10 kilometres to Kuujjuaq for help. The other man was brought back in a qamutik.
He has since been medevaced to Montreal and is expected to recover from his injuries.
“They both could have died,” said KRPF police chief Brian Jones. “Both people were very lucky.”
